Related report The country's intelligence service sent it to the Finnish parliament for consideration.

“Situations are constantly being discovered that can be caused by preparing for the upcoming exposure to a crisis situation. Transactions involving the purchase of land plots that are not connected with logic may indicate this,” the report says.

Thus, the new owner can build buildings on the acquired site that can be used by a foreign state “in a crisis situation,” the security service noted.

The police say that in this way troops can be stationed in the country without identification marks or transport routes can be blocked.

From the context of the document it follows that we are talking about the acquisition of property in Finland by citizens of the Russian Federation.

The report also states that Finland has many intelligence officers, the most in Western Europe relative to its population.

According to the police, suspicions are mainly raised by Russians with dual citizenship, because “all Russians, regardless of the presence of dual citizenship, according to Russian law, must assist Russian security agencies,” the document says.

Let us recall that in September Sweden also announced a “growing threat from Russia.” According to local publications, there is an increase in the threat from the Russian Federation, however, information about the nature of this threat is classified by the government.

Later, the Swedish military command called on military personnel to be more vigilant against “espionage activity” on the part of the Russians.
