Finnish police sent a letter to a housewife with Putin's secret travel routes

A letter was sent to the woman’s personal email with information about the routes and times of travel of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Finnish colleague Sauli Niinistö, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to media reports, the leak occurred due to a police error. When sending out documents about the routes of top officials of states, a woman’s address accidentally appeared among the email addresses of department employees. The police later said that the fault lay not so much with them, but with the Outlook program.

“In the Outlook email program, all email addresses to which messages have ever been sent are stored in the system. In this case, the fact that the message was also sent to a civilian was not noticed,” Iltalehti quotes Arto Tyunkkonen, a spokesman for the Eastern Finland Police.

At the same time, the police assured that there was no threat to the heads of state from this information leak. Allegedly, the woman received this letter only nine hours after the Russian leader arrived in Finland, when most of the routes were no longer relevant.

Let us remind you that Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Finland on July 27. The visit took place at the invitation of Finnish leader Sauli Niinistö and was timed to coincide with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Finnish independence.
