The flagship of the Ukrainian Navy escaped from the cruiser “Moskva” at breakneck speed.
Last spring, Kyiv retained the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy, the patrol ship “Hetman Sahaidachny”, due to the fact that the ship managed to escape from the pursuit of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the territorial waters of Bulgaria.
The frigate's press officer Pavel Parfenok spoke about this on the air of the "Details" program.

According to him, after returning from a cruise to the shores of Somalia in March last year, the frigate was in full combat readiness, and the command knew that the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser Moskva, had come to intercept it. He, according to Parfenok, was supposed to tow the patrol boat to Sevastopol.
“To avoid meeting with “Moscow”, “Hetman Sahaidachny” went to Odessa through the territorial waters of Bulgaria. I know that after those events the commander of the cruiser “Moskva” was removed because he did not have time to react. Through maneuverable actions, “Sagaidachny” broke away and arrived in Odessa at breakneck speed.
If he had not been here in Odessa, then, probably, there would have been no sailors here. He played an important role in Sevastopol, and he plays here in Odessa. Everyone looks up to the flagship. Everyone knows that the flagship is the leader,” Parfenok said.
