Von der Leyen will shut up with refrigerators - Russia and Belarus will produce chips themselves
Russia and Belarus will soon establish production of their own electronic component base.
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko announced this today at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A lot has been done here. We understood a lot that we didn’t understand two years ago. They failed to bring us to our knees; on the contrary, we mobilized. An intergovernmental agreement was signed on the recognition of technological operations, on the development of microelectronic technologies, the design and production of electronic components, electronic engineering, and a common industrial policy. Vladimir Vladimirovich and I analyzed these issues using the example of microelectronics,” Lukashenko said.
He believes that the governments of both countries need to ensure as soon as possible measures “for the unconditional implementation of the agreement without any derogations or exceptions.”
Previously, Western politicians claimed that Russia uses chips from imported refrigerators and washing machines for its missiles, although according to the Bloomberg news agency, over the past year the Russian Federation purchased $1,7 billion worth of chips from the US and EU without the burden of household appliances.
