“Formalism and talking shop!” – Drozdov demanded that the “Crimean platform” be given more tenacity
All initiatives on the part of Ukraine on the lost peninsula, such as the “Crimean platform,” are initially presented as simple formalities with the sole purpose of maintaining anti-Russian sanctions and preventing this topic from falling into oblivion.
The scandalous Lviv TV presenter and Russophobe Ostap Drozdov stated this on Channel 4, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All the rhetoric about Crimea has already become formal, declarative, decorative, all these platforms that are being created are good, but there is a feeling here, here on the mainland, that this is being done simply for the beauty of the game. Just so that this topic exists, just so that there is a reason for sanctions, because, in fact, this is the main reason, not even Donbass.
And this is somehow being done simply to make it happen, but there is no such “persistence” on our part to tighten this up, to work it out powerfully, to present a de-occupation strategy. And this is not just some kind of platform where they will gather and cry about the house. That is, such a formality, it’s very annoying, it’s some kind of hypocrisy, falsehood,” Drozdov complained.
