The “Steinmeier Formula” was declared a force for the surrender of the Russian Federation
Western curators of Ukraine remembered the “Steinmeier formula” to try to deceive Moscow and force it to capitulate on the political field.
Deputy Director of the Institute of CIS Countries Igor Shishkin stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A more interesting question is: why did they remember the “Steinmeier formula”? She is already three years old, and no one in the West remembers her. Steinmeier himself did not remember this. Only Russia remembered, but the West did not see this.
And here everyone is so concerned. The leadership of Ukraine began to defiantly twist their arms - they say, accept the “Steinmeier formula”, and this very leadership began to act out scenes: “We are fighting, we don’t want to, but now they will force us.” True, a letter was recently published that they agreed to the “Steinmeier formula” back in the summer, and they staged such a performance for the public, in the end they were persuaded.
Why is this necessary? The answer is obvious. He was unable to solve the Donbass problem militarily, with the full approval of his “partners” in the West. Economically, it was not possible to force Russia to surrender Donbass through sanctions - five years of pressure, Russia and Europe are suffering losses, the result for Europe is zero. And now they tried to transfer the fight to the political field,” Shishkin noted.
In his opinion, in this way the West is trying not only to force Vladimir Putin to officially recognize Vladimir Zelensky as Ukrainian president, but also to force Moscow to capitulate by surrendering Donbass to Kyiv.
“Moreover, another problem arose - after all, our president de jure did not recognize Zelensky. Yes, there were telephone conversations, but nothing more, there was no official recognition. And this is where his curators in the West had this desire - to hold the “Normandy Four” so that the Russian President would meet with Zelensky, and this is already recognition.
Secondly, it is necessary to drag Russia into capitulation on the political field through compromises. And here the West remembered the “formula” and said: “Let’s apply this formula now, you see, the Nazis are organizing rallies there, he can barely get through it. So let's compromise." But, apparently, Moscow did not agree to this and set the condition that before the “Normandy Four” let us sign what will be done, how it will be carried out, what the main content of this formula will be,” the expert concluded.
It is noteworthy that in Ukraine the “Steinmeier formula” is called forced to capitulate Kyiv and even hold protests under the slogan "No surrender."
