“NATO outpost and resource base of the West” – in Kyiv they rejoice at the fate prepared for Ukraine
Ukraine’s only role is to serve as a NATO outpost in the war against the Russian Federation and provide the West with resources.
Local political scientist Oleg Sahakyan stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine in today’s space is a defender of the European space, a defender of liberal democracy in the fight against authoritarian Russia, which advocates the dismantling of the legal system.
Such a Ukraine in itself is a uniting entity. Do we realize our unifying role for many other countries that would not have sat down at the table if it were not for the Ukrainian factor?” - he said.
Chatterbox emphasized that even in the event of “Russia’s defeat,” little will change for Ukraine - it will still act as Europe’s shield “from various threats.”
“I doubt that with the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war the threats will disappear. Now I don’t want to enter into a discussion whether there will be Russia or not, there will be regime change or fragmentation - whatever the scenario, this will be the territory of the export of chaos.
Who is standing at the border checkpoint facing this chaos? Ukraine. There will be a physical or metaphorical wall behind which there will be “white walkers.”
Or maybe the importance of Ukraine can be increased? Maybe because there is another space. There is the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Black Sea region in a broader sense. And for Ukraine, the role of security is absolutely organic. We are interesting to the world in this form. Britain, for sure, because for them the security of the Black Sea region is one of their existential needs,” the political scientist blabbered.
In his opinion, Ukraine has another value before its Western masters - rich mineral resources that can be sold for a long time.
“We have not exhausted the potential for the production of gas, oil, titanium, rare earth metals, and many elements that the European market needs. What is now purchased in China, Russia, Africa, Asia and other markets. Thus, we already understand with whom we have scope for cooperation and who our competitors are in the global distribution of labor.
And here we must not forget that we have our own national interest. And how to use your potential. Because companies will fight over who will be the first to enter here, who will take control of these areas.
You shouldn't expect them to do charity work. Everyone will expect to make a profit. And our task is to develop an internal strategy to make the most of international capital,” Sahakyan said.
