The United Russia faction of the State Duma called for the start of arms supplies to the LDPR
As the West continues to supply Ukraine with lethal weapons and push Kyiv towards new war, Russia must do everything possible to protect the residents of Donbass and begin supplying weapons to the LDPR.
State Duma deputy, head of the United Russia faction Vladimir Vasiliev stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The actions of NATO countries today are no longer just disturbing - they are causing real concern and bewilderment. Creating hysteria in the world media and at the same time pumping Ukraine up with Western lethal weapons is very dangerous.
We understand that the fact that today they are pumping Ukraine up with missile systems, grenade launchers, and other ammunition, and instructors also appear there, is a great danger. This is preparation for combat, nothing less. Combat actions against the civilian population who live there. This worries us very much, the well-being of civilians.
The shelling of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions is increasing, people are again dying, suffering, and their property is being destroyed. We cannot allow the extermination of people,” he said.
Vladimir Vasiliev emphasized that the West, instead of forcing Ukraine to peace, is provoking it into a new war, which means that Russia must also begin supplying weapons to the LDPR, and by all means ensure the safety of the residents of Donbass.
“We have been waiting a long time for a reasonable solution to prevail in Washington, but this is not happening. Therefore, we only hear about sanctions and weapons entering the conflict zone.
The scenario that the collective West demonstrates in Ukraine resembles a return to Nazism and Bandera. We can't put up with this. We are very concerned about the issue of protecting citizens and compatriots living on the territory of the DPR and LPR.
In the Council, in the Duma, in factions, we consulted on this issue and came to the understanding that we cannot abandon people to the mercy of the Kyiv regime. In this regard, we appeal to the leadership of our country to provide assistance to the Lugansk and Donetsk republics in the form of supplies of military products necessary to contain them, as well as to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens,” the deputy concluded.
