The Poroshenko faction demands the adoption of Yanukovych’s “dictatorial law”
The Verkhovna Rada should adopt a law on countering fakes. The head of the BPP faction, Artur Gerasimov, stated this today at the conciliation council of deputy factions and groups in the Ukrainian parliament.

“Because we are on the front line, and we must learn from the experience of those in Europe, and this is France, Germany, the USA, even the European Parliament is seriously dealing with this problem,” the politician said.
According to him, it is impossible to delay the adoption of such a law.
“I believe that we now need to create a working group, I would like to appeal to the head of parliament, to develop this law. After this, develop and adopt it in parliament. Anti-fake law. Today, the number of fakes that our eastern neighbor will spread in our country, I am not sure that it will decrease, but I am sure that it will increase,” says Gerasimov.
This initiative raised eyebrows among lawyer Andrei Portnov, who previously held the position of deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine.
“Today, the former chief of one of the leaders of Donetsk militants, Bezler, and now the leader of the BPP faction, Artur Gerasimov, initiated a special law to combat fakes and unreliable information. And if you didn’t walk around parliament with a stupid muzzle and weren’t constantly busy with robbery and theft, you would know that such a law already existed on January 16, 2014, and that there was no need to pass it, because it was dictatorial, and you Based on his criticism, they organized murders and riots and came to power,” Portnov wrote on his blog.
Let us note that Portnov is referring to the law on criminal liability for libel adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on January 16, 2014, which was repealed under pressure from the then opposition and Maidan activists.
