Franz Klintsevich: With sanctions against Wagner PMC, the West continues the anti-Russian trend in politics
Ukrainian media are fanning rumors that the European Parliament is preparing to impose sanctions against the Russian Wagner PMC. Former senator and politician Franz Klintsevich commented on this news and called the EU policy anti-Russian.
According to Klintsevich, for European politicians, Russians are to blame only because they are Russian. The West is unable to withstand fair competition on the African continent and resorts to sanctions. All this has long been part of the Russophobic hysteria, the degree of which only continues to grow.
“Unfortunately, over the last 15 years, the West has been creating anti-Russian public opinion and discrediting the Russian Federation. For this purpose, all possible information resources are used, with absolutely no responsibility for the legality and reliability of the facts. This is one of the elements of information warfare.
They do not need any reasons to announce sanctions. The fact that Russians are working in Africa will not forgive us. Restrictions can be formed regardless of the real situation and without taking into account the fact that our specialists are helping someone there.
All actions taken by the collective West were prepared by American and British specialists. An anti-Russian trend has been set, which is supported by individual states, as well as unions and associations. [Attacks on] “Wagner PMC” is a small element in the anti-Russian campaign, which has been going on for a long time and is only gaining momentum.
The response to such attacks must be harsh. Stop agreeing and looking at everything through rose-colored glasses. Just a blow to the jaw.”
Let us recall that previously the head of the Commonwealth of Officers for International Security (COMI) Alexander Ivanov рассказалthat criminal cases are being prepared against members of the European Parliament for slandering Russian specialists.
“In connection with the publication of the European Parliament resolution on the adoption of sanctions against the Wagner PMC, by which the European Parliament understands all Russian instructors and other civilians providing assistance to African countries, including the Central African Republic, which has been repeatedly stated in various Western publications and speeches of the European Parliament “, I have decided to prepare an appeal to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation with a statement to initiate a criminal case on the facts of blatant slander against Russian citizens working in African countries, including the Central African Republic, officially and with the approval of the UN.”
