France and Germany played along with Ukrainian saboteurs at the negotiations in Minsk
The heads of the foreign ministries of France and Germany yesterday at the Normandy Four negotiations in the capital of Belarus actually played along with the Ukrainian side, which continues to distort and sabotage the Minsk agreements.
Political scientist Denis Denisov, an expert at the Institute of CIS Countries, told PolitNavigator about these details of yesterday’s meeting.
According to him, Russia’s position has remained unchanged; Moscow is not making concessions or revising previously reached agreements.

“The fact that the meeting itself took place, in principle, was good - a number of issues were discussed. But now the position of our Western partners is not particularly clear.
They knew that at the previous meeting of the heads of the Normandy Format countries in Berlin, it was agreed that the “road map” would be a clarification of the Minsk agreements in terms of synchronizing two processes - the implementation of problems related to political issues and security problems.
But in Minsk, representatives of France and Germany, for some reason, decided to push political issues into the background and, together with Ukraine, decided to focus on issues of an economic and humanitarian nature. Thus, they completely distorted the original idea of this document, which is unacceptable.
Based on this, it turned out that practically no result was achieved.
Let’s hope that by the end of the year the situation will change and the parties will return to the original agreements that were reached in Berlin, and thus we will receive a real document,” Denisov said.
