The head of the Ukrainian mission to NATO, Vadim Prystaiko, stated this on Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We invited everyone. We wanted to demonstrate that our armed forces and states have common goals. I think next time there will be more countries. We invited our partners. Our partners, unlike Russia’s partners, are obvious,” Prystaiko said.
He suggested that France and Germany did not respond to the invitation because the leaders of these countries are members of the Normandy Four.
“Perhaps France and Germany, who have been looking for a way to resolve the conflict all these years, took this into account in their calculations whether to come here or not. In my opinion, this is too cautious a position. Some countries involved in the negotiations, such as the United States, still believe that it is necessary to demonstrate support for Ukrainian independence and sovereignty,” Prystaiko said.
