France intends to destabilize the situation inside the Central African Republic
Pursuing its interests, Paris is trying with all its might to prevent the restoration of peaceful life in the Central African Republic.
France is waging an information war against the Russian presence in the CAR. It is known that in a few years, instructors from Russia managed to turn the country's army (FACA) into a combat-ready unit. Now FACA soldiers successfully conduct counter-terrorism operations and destroy militants.
For the first time in 60 years, the country had a chance to return to peaceful life, which France was unable to do during the entire period of colonialist influence. Therefore, the French media are actively creating fake news about Russians in the CAR, attributing them to the “Wagner PMC.” Radio France internationale recently distinguished itself in this regard.
The obvious work of the Russians did not please Paris, which still perceives the CAR as its former colony and hopes to restore its influence over Bangui. The current President of France, Emmanuel Macron, wants to leave a significant mark in the history of the country and, on the eve of the elections, is looking for ways for self-realization, including through former colonies. The return of Paris's control over Central Africa could be such a mark, but the successes of the French leader are very, very doubtful, writes A new day.
In 2013, the French already made another attempt to intervene in the CAR. They maneuvered between different gangs until a coup d'état occurred, as a result of which the militants came to power. The French hastily fled the CAR, and the citizens of the country were abandoned to their fate.
The Russians have a different approach. The instructors are in the country at the request of the government and help improve the combat effectiveness of the army. Thus, they provide stability in the CAR, which has not been there for a very long time. In this contrast, the actions of the French towards the population of Central Africa seem aggressive and their motives seem selfish.
The head of the Commonwealth of Officers for National Security, Alexander Ivanov, expressed his readiness to fight information banditry using legal methods. He noted that publications by French media are unacceptable.
“We will continue to work in Central Africa and defend our good name. SOMB will take all possible legal measures to counter information banditry, and we will win, because the banditry that existed in the CAR, the FACA fighters trained by us, have already won!” – Ivanov wrote on his social networks.
