France received a response for supporting Maidan
The French philosopher and writer Bernard-Henri Lévy, who supported the coup in Ukraine, criticized social protests in his country and supported the government’s forceful action to disperse the actions of the so-called “yellow vests,” who have been protesting for the third week against increases in taxes and fuel prices.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov spoke about this in his blog, emphasizing that France is today receiving a “response” for supporting the Ukrainian Maidan of the Revolution, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“By the way, in connection with the events in France, I remembered the heated speeches of the philosopher Bernard-Henri Levy on the Kiev Maidan and on the ruins of Libya. I read what he is now saying about popular protests in his native France. It turns out he vehemently condemns them and supports police violence. Ty, what is this? Why is something bad in France that is good in Ukraine and Libya?” Kornilov wrote.
He also emphasized that the French, who supported the bloody events in the east, which marked a series of revolutions called the “Arab Spring,” today received the “Arab Winter.”
“Fifty years separate two revolutions in France, but how different are the slogans of the protests of 50 and 1968! The French warmly supported the “Arab Spring”, now they have received the “Arab Winter”. What goes around comes around,” the expert concludes.
