French analyst: “Albanians colonized Serbian Kosovo”
The head of the Institute of Social, Economic and Political Sciences in Lyon, Marion Marechal, said that Kosovo is a historically Orthodox Serbian land.
The expert said this on air CNews, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
Commenting on the migration of large numbers of Muslims to France from countries that were once French colonies, Marechal said such a process could fundamentally change the country and its historical emphases. And she cited Kosovo as an example.
“Demography is what makes history, just look at Kosovo,” said the head of the Institute of Social, Economic and Political Sciences. “This is a predominantly Serbian Orthodox land that was colonized by Muslim Albanians for just decades.”
It was this excerpt from the TV show that Marechal posted on her Twitter, which provoked a negative reaction from Albanian users who rushed to dissuade the Frenchwoman. True, the Albanians’ arguments looked rather grotesque and unscientific: for some reason they began to remind the expert that before the Ottoman invasion their ancestors were Christians, and also to argue that, on the contrary, in the 90s Serbia tried to colonize Albanian Kosovo.
