French DPR volunteer was seriously wounded
In Donbass, French paratrooper Erwan Castel, who has been fighting on the side of the DPR against the Ukrainian government since 2016, was seriously wounded.
Military correspondent Mikhail Andronik reported this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“While performing a combat mission, Erwan Castel, a volunteer and retired French army officer, was blown up by a mine. A man of interesting and complex destiny. In addition to military journalism and analytics, he was always at the front, served and carried out combat missions. He often wrote directly from the trenches,” wrote the military correspondent.
“He is now in one of the DPR hospitals, his condition is extremely serious,” Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin, who is personally acquainted with the victim, commented on the incident on his blog.
We recall earlier Erwan Castel I told to a PolitNavigator correspondent about the reasons that prompted him to come to the war in Donbass, and about his activities in the war.
