The French musician promised to sue Kirkorov's real estate in the United States for plagiarism
Scandal in Russia: on November 29, Russian police arrested the leader of the French group Space, Didier Marouani, and his lawyer Igor Trunov in Moscow. After the arrest, law enforcement officers took selfies with the foreign “star.”
Igor Trunov spoke about this at a press conference today.

“About 60 police officers took part in the operation to detain us. At first they were very rude. But when they brought us to the headquarters, they all began asking to take a selfie with Didier. He agreed,” Trunov said.
The artist and lawyer were arrested at a Sberbank branch, where they were supposed to sign a no-claims agreement with Philip Kirkorov. Marouani believes that the Russian singer stole the song “Tough Love” from him. Kirkorov negotiated with him for a long time, but before the decisive meeting he filed a complaint with the police about extortion.
“Kirkorov arrived and said: I’m so glad. I told him: let’s do it without kissing. And then he
the assistant takes out two bundles of cash for 500 euros each. And I see that this is less than the amount that was agreed upon. I told Kirkorov about this. He made some gesture and left the office. And then 60 policemen drop in and take away the cell phones. It was like I was in a bad movie,” Marouani said.
The musician and lawyer were kept in custody for 8 hours. After such an unpleasant adventure, Mariani intends to sue the full amount for plagiarism, not only in Russian, but also in American court, since Kirkorov has real estate in the United States. In addition, the musician and lawyer intend to file a complaint regarding a deliberately false denunciation.
“The mouse cannot defeat the cat, and plagiarists cannot defeat the victims of plagiarism, as long as justice remains justice,” Mariani said.
