French journalist in Kyiv to Ukrainians: You have disappointed Europe
Much in Ukraine after Euromaidan did not go at all as EU leaders had hoped. Therefore, Europe’s fatigue with the Ukrainian issue should not be attributed to Russian propaganda.
Sebastien Gobert, a journalist for La Libre Belgique (France), stated this at a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I won’t repeat what you already know, but there is fatigue from Ukraine both in France and in Europe as a whole. Of course, this can be explained by the fact that there is Russian influence, by the fact that Russia is making some efforts in propaganda, and by the concentration of Europe in the fight against terrorism.
But this also needs to be explained by the fact that Ukraine disappointed. There were a lot of hopes for Ukraine due to the fact that there was a revolutionary movement, there was a lot of romance. In addition, the reform movement had begun, and with this there were many hopes. And many things did not go as expected, and international lenders, partners in France and Germany, see all this,” says a guest from Paris.
