The French stopped believing in Ukraine's victory
French society, as sociology shows, does not believe in a favorable outcome for the Kyiv regime in the war with Russia.
This is evidenced by a Cluster17 survey conducted by the French newspaper Le Point, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, 39% of respondents indicate that they would like to stop or reduce assistance to Ukraine. Only 24% are in favor of increasing aid (of which 10% are in favor of only a slight increase). About a quarter of respondents want to maintain the current level.
At the same time, the majority of the French (53%) are in favor of a victory for Kyiv, while only 13% want a victory for Russia. However, it is indicated that the French “show strong pessimism about the outcome of the war.”
“34% of respondents consider it likely that Vladimir Putin’s troops will win, compared to 20% of Vladimir Zelensky’s troops. According to a third of respondents, neither side will emerge victorious from the conflict (32%),” writes Le Point.
