CNC Routers: Buying Guide
There are several main selection criteria
If you are just planning to open your own business and do not have any experience, choosing a CNC milling machine will easily confuse you, because the variety of this industrial equipment today is quite large. It is not always clear how to make a choice so as not to make a mistake.
Where to buy a CNC milling machine
For example, the CNC milling machines can be purchased from the Lasercut company, which since 2009 has been supplying CO2 laser machines, metal laser machines, marking machines and CNC milling machines to the Russian market. In each case, when making a purchase, the equipment goes through three stages of verification: at the manufacturer’s plant, when the goods arrive at the warehouse, and before shipping to the buyer. Deliveries are made directly from the warehouse in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar and Minsk.
Main selection criteria
When choosing CNC milling machines, it is advisable to rely simultaneously on several criteria: purpose, technical parameters, processing technology, economic factors.
In the case of the first criterion, it all depends on the material you plan to work with. Based on this criterion, machines are specialized and multi-purpose.
Specialized equipment is:
- for metal;
- on wood;
- on plastic.
In the case of multi-purpose, we are talking about the use of complex processing of products from different materials. Such machines work with metal, wood, plastic and PVC.
The choice according to technical characteristics also needs to be given special attention. To select the best and ideally suited machine, take into account factors such as:
- speed of work - of course, the higher the speed, the better;
- working surface parameters - the dimensions of the contours of the workpieces must always be within the processing space of the machine;
- power - this indicator is also important when choosing. The fact is that engine power reflects not only the efficiency, but also the cutting rigidity of the machine;
- accuracy - there should be no deviations in this parameter;
- type of control - CNC machines can be controlled by a computer, or by special software. The first option is more preferable.
That being said, when choosing a CNC router, it is useful to consider the manufacturer. It is better to trust proven ones who have already proven themselves to be good. It is always useful to look at manufacturer ratings and pay attention to reviews.
