“German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas and the director of the Institute of Contemporary History published an article, they posted it in the magazine Der Spiegel, and this is what they write, a direct quote: “Only Germany is responsible for the Second World War and the Holocaust. Those who sow doubts about this and impose the role of criminal on other peoples are doing injustice to the victims of this war.”
This is probably better than any definitions, explanations and comments. And words seem to draw a line under any efforts to explain something to Western partners.
Many of them, even on such special days and dates for humanity, do not stop looking for attempts to distort history, exclusively putting political goals at the forefront, presenting claims to our country that are monstrous in their deceit and hypocrisy,” Zakharova said.
