The front may collapse as far as the Dnieper - Kyiv expert
After the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses in Avdeevka are broken through, the front may collapse to a very great depth.
Political scientist Andrei Zolotarev stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, in the coming months the Russian Armed Forces will press in different directions, identifying the weakest point for the main blow.
“I don’t know what’s going on with the defensive line and pre-prepared positions. Syrsky says that fortification work goes on 24 hours a day. They assured that defense lines had been prepared near Bakhmut, but in reality everything turned out to be wrong, because after Avdeevka the road to Pokrovsk opens, which is less than 100 kilometers away.
And from Pokrovsk to the Dnieper is also 100 kilometers. Actually, Pavlograd is a city in which enterprises of the military-industrial complex and a motor transport hub are located,” the expert said.
“Therefore, this is an alarming situation, the question arises: will we control the situation not only around Avdiivka, but also in the Zaporozhye direction? The strategic plan of the Russian Federation (the military always thinks according to a template) is to create such a situation so that the enemy has a shortage of reserves, so that he rushes from one crisis point to another - somewhere the front will crumble.
And then - like dominoes, apparently, the Russian General Staff is counting on this. In the next two months, the fate of the state will depend on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If they manage to contain the enemy, a different situation will arise. And so it’s really alarming,” Zolotarev said.
