The FSB liquidated the battalion named after Dzhokhar Dudayev without a fight
The FSB managed, without a fight, to virtually liquidate the volunteer battalion named after Dzhokhar Dudayev, which took part in hostilities in eastern Ukraine on the side of the ATO forces.
Co-founder of the Ukrainian-Chechen Friendship NGO Akhmed Alikhadzhiev, representing the anti-government Chechen opposition, spoke about this at a press conference in Kyiv. The speaker emphasized that neither in the first nor in the second Chechen war did they conduct positional battles with the Russian army, since this was unprofitable and pointless.

“Today, the Chechens who came to Ukraine as a battalion, they helped the volunteer battalions a lot at the initial stage,” Alikhadzhiev noted. – At this stage, this battalion was divided into four parts. In the form in which we knew it, the battalion named after Dzhokhar Dudayev, there were four or five Chechens left there.”
In turn, the journalists asked for a more specific answer to the question of why the battalion disbanded.
“I think, first of all, this is the effective work of the FSB and the ineffective work of the SBU, because pressure was exerted from Kadyrov, from the FSB, both through the media and through relatives,” came the answer. “Today there are people in the leadership who have not actually seen the war, so they consider the arrival of further Chechens under their command inappropriate. There are field commanders who are in Europe, I negotiated with them, and they specifically asked me: “Ahmed, how can we come and be subordinate to a person who has never fought. If we obeyed people who did not know how to fight, we would not have lived to this day.”
