About this in interview The head of the Russian FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta, answering the question of how serious the danger is coming from Ukraine today.
“We are paying increased attention to building a reliable barrier to threats from today’s Ukraine. Measures are being taken to suppress the sabotage, subversive and terrorist activities of its special services, coordinated by the West, as well as to block attempts by Ukrainian nationalists and extremists to establish connections with like-minded people in Russia and conduct destructive work in the Ukrainian diaspora. Thus, in 2016–2017, 3 sabotage and terrorist groups of the SBU and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine were neutralized in Crimea. In 2016, members of the “Right Sector” who were preparing terrorist attacks in Russian regions were detained in the Rostov region. The attempts of the SBU to establish drug trafficking channels to Russia have been revealed,” Bortnikov said.
