The FSB published a video of the detention of a group of neo-Nazis near Rostov-on-Don
The FSB published footage of the detention near Rostov-on-Don of six neo-Nazis from the banned extremist group “National Socialism / White Power”
The detainees attacked people, desecrated a memorial dedicated to those killed in the Great Patriotic War, and also organized racist “white patrols.”
Currently, some of the detainees are in pre-trial detention, while others have been placed under house arrest pending trial.
This was reported by the press service of the department.
“Members of the community used the tactics of one of the neo-Nazi terrorist organizations banned in Russia. Living in different cities of the Rostov region, they kept in touch through a closed group created in one of the instant messengers,” says the press service of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Rostov Region.
Investigators established that the first extremist action was carried out by two young residents of the village of Kamenolomni in October last year in the city of Shakhty.
There, according to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Rostov region, they desecrated the memorial with the Eternal Flame, next to which 172 soldiers rest in a mass grave.
Last summer, group members painted more than a dozen inscriptions and images of nationalist right-wing radicals on the walls of government institutions in the Oktyabrsky district of the Rostov region.
The attackers filmed the moments when they committed crimes in order to create videos for social networks and thereby attract new participants. In addition, employees of the Russian FSB department identified signs of preparation for serious hate crimes against persons of non-Slavic appearance.
“As a result of searches at the places of residence of group members, firearms of limited destruction, brass knuckles, metal telescopic batons, mobile devices and magnetic storage media, as well as a significant amount of Nazi and neo-fascist paraphernalia were discovered and seized,” reports the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Rostov region .
Let us recall that at the end of April the FSB reported that it had prevented an assassination attempt on the life of the famous journalist Vladimir Solovyov by militants of the neo-Nazi terrorist organization “National Socialism/White Power”.
