A criminal case has been opened in Crimea against a customs inspector suspected of receiving a bribe.

This was reported by the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region.

According to the investigation, on the morning of May 1, the suspect received a bribe of $100 on the territory of the Perekop automobile checkpoint to ensure the import of commercial cargo through the Krasnoperekopsky customs post without customs clearance. After receiving the bribe, the suspect was detained by FSB officers.

Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
