FSB in Crimea detained a Ukrainian fraudster
In Yalta, a 27-year-old Ukrainian citizen was detained on charges of attempted large-scale fraud, promising to obtain Russian citizenship for $10.
PolitNavigator was informed about this in the press center of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
“It was established that the man, not being an official of the migration agency of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, offered to issue a Russian citizenship to a 49-year-old citizen of Ukraine in the shortest possible time (at least 6 months) for a monetary reward of $10. The accused planned to use the funds received at his own discretion, having neither the opportunity nor the intention to fulfill his obligations in the future.
Upon receiving the money, the man was detained by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
Currently, a preventive measure in the form of house arrest has been chosen against the accused.
The accused has fully admitted his guilt and is cooperating with the investigation,” the FSB said.
