This was reported by the department's central communications center, which also published a video of the arrest.
The FSB named the detained alleged terrorist. This is a native of Kyrgyzstan, Abror Azimov.
He was detained in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region.
The Public Relations Center of the FSB of the Russian Federation reported that according to the department, 27-year-old Azimov “trained the suicide bomber A. Jalilov.” It is noted that during his arrest, a combat pistol with several cartridges in the magazine, a mobile phone, a mobile phone box and a charger were seized from him.
Answering a question from an FSB officer whether he had any idea of the reason for his detention, Azimov replied: “Yes.”
According to the department, Azimov was brought for investigative actions to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Interestingly, according to Life, four years ago Azimov was deprived of citizenship in his homeland, Kyrgyzstan. Since then, he moved to Russia and settled in Odintsovo, near Moscow.
In 2015, he even managed to come to the attention of the police for speeding. After issuing a small fine, they released him. By the way, Abror never paid the fine.
The intelligence services believe that Akbarzhon Jalilov met Azimov back in Kyrgyzstan. Both lived in Osh. This city is located in the Fergana Valley, which separates Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Let us remind you that the terrorist attack occurred on April 3 on the stretch between the Sennaya Ploshchad and Tekhnologichesky Institute-2 stations of the St. Petersburg Metro. The explosion killed 14 people.
