The FSB detained four members of the sabotage and terrorist group “Right Sector” in Crimea

According to him, the main goal of the group’s criminal activities was to commit sabotage and terrorist acts in the cities of Simferopol, Yalta and Sevastopol, and subsequently destroy a number of vital infrastructure, railway bridges, and power lines.
The FSB Investigation Department is investigating a criminal case against Sentsov O.G., Afanasyev S.G., Chirnia A.V., Kolchenko A.A. on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 2 of Art. 205 (terrorist act), part 2 of Art. 205.4 (“organization of a terrorist community and participation in it”), Part 3 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("illegal trafficking in weapons"), who, as part of a terrorist community, carried out preparations to commit a terrorist act - explosions on the night of May 8-9, 2014, of improvised explosive devices near the "Eternal Flame Memorial" and the Lenin monument in Simferopol, as well as arson offices of the “Russian Community of Crimea” and the representative office of the “United Russia” party in the Crimean capital on April 14 and 18, 2014, respectively.
During the searches at the suspects' places of residence, explosives, firearms, ammunition, Molotov cocktails, construction helmets, respirators, gas masks, paint cans (aerosol), and nationalist paraphernalia were discovered and seized.
All four detainees are in custody and will be charged in the near future.
The suspects confess to the participation of representatives of the Right Sector in organizing terrorist attacks on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol in order to destabilize the socio-political situation on the peninsula and influence the decision of the Russian authorities on the secession of Crimea from its composition.
