“Furgal was planning to resign even before his arrest” – Zhirinovsky
Ex-governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal wanted to leave his post even before his arrest on suspicion of involvement in the activities of a criminal group in the 2000s.
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky spoke about this from the rostrum of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, during his speech, the politician said that the cause of all evil in the country is the “one-party regime.”
“Only the Tsar made decisions, only the General Secretary. If there had been a two-party system under Brezhnev, we would never have entered Afghanistan, and Damascus would not have existed, and now Karabakh would not be smoking, and Ukraine would not be smoking. Because everything is decided by someone, one team.
Like Khabarovsk, the governor was already planning to come to Moscow on Tuesday and write a statement of his own free will, why did you arrest him on Thursday?!! Someone wanted to show off their muscles: yes, let’s give a report, let’s twist it. He was already flying to Moscow, he was already flying to me, I persuaded him, of my own free will... Because one team, one office,” Zhirinovsky was indignant.
