Furgal could have been ruined by the construction of an analogue of the Crimean Bridge
One of the reasons for claims against the arrested governor of the Khabarovsk Territory Sergei Furgal may be the struggle for orders within construction of a bridge to Sakhalin. The official’s wife had a stake in the company, which was to receive a key order as part of the new “construction project of the century.”
Publicist Maxim Kalashnikov stated this on air on the Roy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They sent interesting material - after all, Furgal’s wife owns 25% of Amurstal, and this is the closest plant to Sakhalin in order to build a possible bridge to Sakhalin... And Furgal was hinted that it would be necessary to sell the share, and this is almost a blocking stake,” - Kalashnikov said.
The ex-militia commander Igor Strelkov, who was present, agreed with his version, but emphasized that Furgal, who is accused of organizing the murders, may actually be involved in the crimes.
“I absolutely do not exclude the possibility that he was really involved in all these murders, since we know very well how industry, timber, scrap metal and in general everything that brought large profits, especially in Siberia and the Far East, were divided.
They were shooting left and right there. Perhaps they shot at his order. But, naturally, while he was a deputy, he was quite a systematic person for many, many years, and no one was interested in his past,” Strelkov said.
