A football club from Galicia signed up for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite their inability to fight
The Ivano-Frankivsk football club "Prykarpattya" almost in its entirety took the oath and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in the news story of the Ukrainian TV channel Football 1/2/3.
“At first, the football players were afraid to join the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, because they did not have any fighting skills and did not want to become a burden for the Ukrainian army.
However, then the military commissar came to them and explained that they would be taught everything, prepared, and shown how to defend Ukraine.
After the club meeting, 14 players, as well as coaches, took the military oath,” the story says.
Earlier, two-time Olympic champion Vasily Lomachenko refused to fight with the current absolute world lightweight champion George Kambosos. He decided to stay in Ukraine and continue to be in the ranks of the terrorist defense.
At the same time, another Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usik, who had previously signed up for the defense force, refused to serve in it for the sake of a boxing match abroad.
