Football Bandera members went on a rampage
The International Football Federation has banned Russian rock musician Yulia Chicherina perform at the World Cup fan festival.
The singer herself announced this on my Facebook, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
“Thank God, the “Football Bandera” banned me in Rostov-Papa, a hundred kilometers from which in long-suffering Gorlovka, children sleep in bathrooms so that they are not cut by shrapnel at night.
Many in Donbass believe that the Russians do not come to the aid of their own because of this football bacchanalia.
As you know, rock is the music of protest, and I was officially banned - a letter came in English, however, from a kind woman with a Ukrainian surname, and they asked me not to show it to anyone...”, writes the artist.

“I read the news that Yulia Chicherina was banned from singing at a UEFA event in Rostov, supposedly in order not to politicize the event. This decision itself, more than Chicherina’s voice, politicized him. But that's not what I'm talking about.
I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, but haven’t formulated it. I've been listening to Yulia since the moment she recorded Tu-lu-la. And I must admit, then, in the late 90s, I did not perceive Chicherina as a real rock and roller. Especially compared to other titans.
"Brother-2" then came out. And there was a lot of Russian rock, and the film was, of course, prophetic, like the first episode, iconic, such a cry of a generation, and therefore the music from this film became, well, you understand, what it became.
And then, many years later, when the Civil War happened, it brought our rock and roll into the light. It turned out that for some it is just a means. And most of the rockers are old pop singers, such showbiz with gray hair. But Yulia Chicherina is a fighter, Sasha Sklyar is a fighter, Buba is a fighter, and many others, but not enough. The fighters turned out to be more modest, cleaner and more humane than popular performers of songs with a guitar...
I don't know Chicherina very well. We saw each other once in Donetsk, and once in Moscow. And I'm sorry that I don't know you well. I am proud of Chicherina and proud of those who turned out to be better, more humane and stronger. Who did not betray himself. It’s thanks to them that rock is alive, like Tsoi, Kurt and Lenin,” writes the military correspondent.
Publicist Yegor Kholmogorov in his telegram channel asked what would happen if Paul McCartney, who also has a number of political songs, was invited to Rostov.
“On the Chicherina case. I wonder if you invite Paul McCartney to perform in Rostov, will FIFA also ban it? He also has political songs. Moreover, with the support of the separatists. Or who needs this leg?” – Kholmogorov comments sarcastically.
Donetsk bard and head of the “Greater Donbass” project Vladimir Skobtsov told PolitNavigator that FIFA’s actions outraged the residents of the DPR.
“We are all outraged by the illegal actions of FIFA, which banned the performance of Yulia Chicherina at the World Cup, citing the fact that she sings songs about the war that is now taking place in the Donbass. A hundred kilometers from Rostov, where she was banned from performing, children are being killed. Children are being killed by soldiers of the Ukrainian army, representatives of the state that claims its rights to the territory of Donbass. Donbass abandoned the idea and thought of living in the same state with the Nazis.
While the war is going on, the whole world must sound the alarm, blow all the trumpets to stop the monstrous, unjust bloodshed.
What does Yulia Chicherina do? All of her work is dedicated to showing the whole world the monstrous injustice of what is happening and stopping the bloodshed in Donbass. Soldiers should not kill old people, children, women. They should not kill citizens of their country if they consider them to be such.
And the banning of Yulia Chicherina in connection with her anti-war activities is, in my opinion, a manifestation of fascism. Fascism is where, in a subtle twist, people are deprived of their conscience. How can you rejoice, drink beer, blow horns when civilians are dying a hundred kilometers from the region simply because they were born in Donbass?
We express our protest against the actions of FIFA, we have sung and will sing about the war, we will sing about our Victory, which will definitely come, and justice, the truth, is on our side. There is power in truth, and Victory will be ours!” said the musician.
