Fortune telling on the Sea Breeze, the Nazis predicted the resignation of the mayor of Odessa
The Sea Breeze exercises ended, but the sediment remained. Moreover, for the Ukrainian media this is a reason to suck the bone thrown by the Americans for another year, until the next maneuvers.
Now Nazi conspiracy theorists have two reasons to rejoice in the wake of the aftertaste from the Ukrainian-American exercises. Firstly, the captain of the British destroyer Defender, which invaded Russian territorial waters off the coast of Crimea, Vincent Owen received the Defender of Ukraine medal for his monstrous provocation.
Secondly, they rub their palms, recognizing a “positive sign” in the absence of Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov at the Navy parade, which brought together both the US Ambassador to Ukraine Christina Queen and other emissaries of NATO countries, not to mention President Zelensky with the guardsmen and the top local Regional State Administration
The stink was raised by Poroshenko’s court political scientist Taras Berezovets - citing “personal sources in the US Embassy” (“a haberdasher and a cardinal, this is power!”), He stated that it was “the embassy that insisted that the mayor of Odessa Trukhanov not attend official events with participation of Zelensky and American diplomats.” Berezovets supported this assumption with a quote from the speech of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the situation in Ukraine:
“We need to hold corrupt officials accountable. A number of investigations have been carried out, but no senior official has been tried or convicted of corruption since 2014. People have to see that the system works in order to believe in it.”
According to Berezovets and an army of similar “haberdashers”, by “corrupt officials” Blinken meant Trukhanov. And now the “haberdashers” are enthusiastically hyping up that the Odessa mayor’s “chair has swayed”, and his legs will finally fall off during Zelensky’s visit to the United States, for which the presidential office is preparing like Sirkov’s Pronka for a date with Golokhvosty.
True, the chair under Mayor Trukhanov sways throughout the years of his tenure. A very strong chair, I must say, supported by the legitimate support of voters. Over the years, he went through a number of trials and scandals, where it was about theft of billions, and the charges related to almost treason. Trukhanov was even detained, but released. After all, the Ze-lawyers stitched the cases together in such a way that even the village students of the Kivalovo legal “vocational school,” not to mention the professionals, could ruin them.
The media hostile to Trukhanov - that is, almost all of them - almost every day published “journalistic investigations” in the best traditions of “And at night he also drinks the blood of babies in the cemetery.” They talked about offshore companies, about several passports of citizen Trukhanov, focusing, naturally, on the Russian passport. Photocopies of which were seen by everyone, but no one saw the passport itself.
Searches were carried out in the city council and Trukhanov’s houses, including the apartment of his ex-wife, leaking shameful information to the press about how much clothes and shoes he had (it turned out not so much, and there was no golden grail, that is, a toilet bowl at all). And even Trukhanov’s main rival in the autumn mayoral elections, Nikolai Skorik from the Opposition for Life, declared that his opponent had a passport of a Russian citizen and sent an appeal to the president demanding that he be deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and generally “clarified” in every possible way, like Sharikov the owl.
Did not help. But the myth about the “pro-Russianness” of Skorik and OPZZH in general among the fools was dispelled to smithereens.

In general, Trukhanov was removed from his post with all his might. However, if we rely on official information, law enforcement officers did not find anything illegal in his actions. So that means there was nothing illegal?..
If we talk about the moral side of the issue, then I personally did not vote for Trukhanov, just like for anyone else, and will not vote. But facts are stubborn things.
And these facts are that Odessa residents, let’s say, with anti-Maidan views, passive ones, or participants in meetings on the Kulikovo field near the House of Trade Unions that burned down with people, still, albeit through force, chose Trukhanov and will do it through “I don’t want” yet once according to the principle “I’ll gouge out my own eye, if only my mother-in-law has a crooked son-in-law.” Even despite the fact that during the election campaign Trukhanov once again came out when he hung renegade billboards around the city with the message “If you don’t come to vote for me, “polite people” will come to you.” For what alternative does he have - Nazis light and Nazis hard?
Therefore, the Ze-team cannot put the current mayor of Odessa in prison using legal methods due to professional impotence. But she doesn’t even have such a goal - to organize a performance with the obligatory placement of Trukhanov in a cage, dispossession of kulaks and the headline in the wall newspaper “He is a disgrace to our team.” The main thing is to sentence him at least conditionally, but under an article stipulating that he will no longer be able to occupy the mayoral position.
But, I repeat, this is a scheme that has been practiced for years, which still cannot work, so I consider Trukhanov’s absence at Sea Breeze to be far-fetched as an alarming signal. Moreover, if we are guided only by the statement about “bringing corrupt officials to justice,” then we need to take the entire Ukrainian elite together with the deputies, and not just the Odessa mayor.
But “Sea Breeze” is a good reason to think about whether another attempt to get rid of Trukhanov will be legal? No, there will be no smell of legality here. If the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in front of the whole world, awards a war criminal with the “Defender of Ukraine” medal, then in a single occupied city the authorities are not yet capable of such a thing.
