He recalled that “since February, retransmission of almost all Russian-speaking channels has been prohibited in Latvia.”
“In fact, the St. George’s Ribbon is the only thing that can still be publicly displayed in Latvia today, worn as a symbol of our common and united past. Of course, this must be resisted and this must be fought both through diplomatic – traditional and economic – means,” the deputy said.
He added that there are already concrete steps in this direction.
“In addition, I would like to remind you that United Russia not long ago took the initiative to establish an additional list of grounds for banning the entry into our country of foreigners and stateless persons, including those who indulge in some humiliating actions in relation to our historical memory, to our veterans. Who is trying to rewrite history and commits other actions that, in today's Russian legislation, are illegal, or even criminal.
We called this bill “On the entry ban for Russophobes,” although it is clear that it has a much broader scope of activity, and in this case concerns any infringement of any national rights, regardless of who did it and in relation to which specific people,” said Khinshtein.
The deputy was supported by journalist, editor-in-chief of Sputnik Lithuania Marat Kasem, who gave an example of how for some Latvian deputies the adoption of Russophobic laws does not in the least prevent them from visiting the Russian Federation.

All these people should be included in the list of persona non grata.
