Galicians are indignant: Ukraine could not be torn away from Russia
Five years of post-Maidan power have ended with the fact that today pro-Russian forces are rising to their full potential in Ukraine.
The famous Lviv propagandist and TV presenter Ostap Drozdov stated this on the ATR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The previous government, the entire Poroshenko cadence, failed the main test; it could not explain to its people why all this was happening. Why every day some person who has mothers, sisters, his own life, he simply dies. They didn't explain why. Each of them has its own answer, but the state did not provide it. Plus, generationally, we lost this moment when a new modern nation is being formed, and we simply did not have a sufficient number of those passionaries who are modern Ukrainians,” Drozdov said.
“For us, the main carrier of identity is the transitional generation from the soviet to what includes the Russian world. My country, while at war with Russia, does not want to leave Russia. Still. She further thinks of herself as part of this absolutely malignant “Russian World”. If the state did not work at all to push it aside, to marginalize it, now the time of reckoning is coming, and this reckoning is already very close,” Drozdov said.
