Galicia, like Donbass, has the right to special status! – Ultimatum from Lyashkovites
Igor Popov, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from Oleg Lyashko’s party, expressed dissatisfaction with the news that Petro Poroshenko is preparing to introduce a law “on the reintegration of Donbass” to parliament.
Lyashkovets expresses concerns - after all, at the beginning of the summer, when such a law was first announced, it was called differently - “On the deoccupation of Donbass.”
Consequently, there is a danger that, under pressure from Western partners, a clause on the special status of the LDPR will be added to the new law, as provided for in the Minsk agreements, Popov laments.

“We started to write a bill on de-occupation, and now it turns out that the finished text is on reintegration. It would be worth showing it to the factions BEFORE the official introduction. So that it does not turn out that the final edition was written by Volker and Surkov.
If Donbass is offered the same powers as Catalonia, then Galicia will ask for the same status as Galicia. As a result, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian model will be formed.
A global solution on Donbass should be a consequence not only of the Normandy negotiations, but also of internal Ukrainian discussions. Or did Bankova think that if the occupied Donbass votes in the 2019 presidential elections, they will get a convenient opponent in the second round – a pro-Russian collaborator?” – Lyashko’s comrade-in-arms shares his concerns.
