Galicia, like Donbass, must be forced into Ukraine - Kiev newspaper
Kyiv, June 21 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – In Kyiv, “separatism” is already visible everywhere, including provincial Western Ukrainian.

“We don’t know where Ukraine begins, where it ends, and what it even means to “be Ukraine.” After all, the country still exists only as a project,” laments the influential Kiev newspaper “Zerkalo Nedeli” in the material “Coercion towards Ukraine.”
This project, the publication notes, has not been implemented not only in Donbass:
“There is no Ukraine in other geographical latitudes either. It does not belong to any region of the country. Even in Galicia it is not there, no matter what, again, Kiselyov, incensed by Zhirinovsky, tells.
If you don’t believe me, try “hearing Galicia” for general development. Local “intellectual leaders” like Andrukhovych or Gritsak have been talking for a long time about the need to separate. At least three, four or five areas. And let Kyiv continue to do whatever it wants with Donbass (and at the same time with all the other Nikolaevs, Khersons and Krivoy Rogs): feed, listen, pacify, federalize, wipe off the face of the earth - that’s enough gunpowder. They are unable to explain why exactly these three or four regions will turn out to be “Ukraine,” the author of the publication argues.
Galician “intellectuals,” she emphasizes, did not even think of changing their record today, “against the backdrop of the war”:
“On the contrary, the rhetoric of local separatists is deepening. We are reminded that after the end of the ATO (if it ever ends), so much money will be spent on the restoration of Donbass that previous subsidies will seem like children's toys. And the proposal to repair the road from Frankovsk to Ternopil will be tantamount to treason.”
Refugees from the Russian East add fuel to the fire in Galicia:
The “cultural exchange programs” that have been talked about for so many years have become painfully relevant. True, as far as “culture” is concerned, doubts arise. Both sides – the visiting party and the receiving party – having encountered each other in real life, do not hide their cultural shock. Desperate posts about the “bestiness” of refugees from Donbass are spreading across social networks, collecting bouquets of comments in the style of “Donbass is not needed.”
The pill of “coercion towards Ukraine” turned out to be just as bitter and difficult to digest for the western part of the country as it was for the eastern part. It’s nice to think of yourself as a “model Ukraine” to someone else. But the manner, when confronted with others who are not so “exemplary,” is to shout “these ones out!” completely betrays a provincial who never became one in his own country. Alas, there is no Ukraine in Galicia either. Here, too, it needs to be forced,” states the Kiev newspaper.
