According to the PolitNavigator correspondent, at the round table held in Kiev “How to protect Russia from the Iron Curtain: the role and importance of the Russian intelligentsia,” journalist Matvey Ganapolsky, a member of the presidium of the Russian Jewish Congress, the host of the radio station “Echo of Moscow”, and more recently presenter of the program “Morning with Matvey Ganapolsky” on the Ukrainian “Radio Vesti”.
“The Russian intelligentsia has a big problem - it has lost its sense of time and space,” says Ganapolsky. “She thinks that she is needed by the Russian people, unhappy, uneducated and groaning under Putin’s heel, and she cannot move away from this messianism.”
In general, the scandalous speech boiled down to the thesis that the people of Russia do not need the intelligentsia at all, and 87 percent of the country’s residents are predators and freeloaders who are helping to build Putin’s empire.
“Forget forever the stupid question “What to do with the people?” Ganapolsky calls on the Russian intelligentsia. – You don’t need to do anything. Be careful that he doesn’t do anything to you under Putin, Solovyov, Kiselyov... That’s why you don’t need to think about how to protect Russia from the “Iron Curtain”. We must thank Russia for building it itself. For “homo sovieticus” must sit behind the curtain so as not to spoil our lives.”
