The Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to unblock the Artemovsk (Bahumut) - Lisichansk highway, which was cut yesterday by the allied forces.

This statement was made by Sergei Gaidai, appointed head of the occupied part of the LPR by the Kyiv regime.

“There were about 50 people, they even managed to gain a foothold for a while, they even set up some kind of roadblock, but it was a situational success. The checkpoint was broken, they were thrown back. Now the occupiers do not control the route,” says Gaidai.

However, he said that the situation remains difficult and also promised to go on the offensive.

“The defense is strong. We will endure and wait for the arrival of Lend-Lease weapons in order to launch a counter-offensive,” Gaidai wrote in his Telegram channel

According to him, “the Russian army does not control the Lisichansk-Bakhmut highway, but it is heavily shelling it,” and travel along this road is “very risky.”
