Gauleiter panics: The Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the LPR faces encirclement
Russian and LPR troops are preparing to cut the highway in order to encircle a large Ukrainian group concentrated in the Lisichansk-Severedonetsk agglomeration.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that the head of the military-civil administration of the occupied part of the LPR, appointed by the Kiev regime, said this during a telethon broadcast on Ukrainian television channels.
According to him, there are now serious battles in the Rubezhnoye and Belogorovka areas.
“If you look at the map, there are battles going on practically on both sides - from Popasnaya and Belogorovka. This is on both sides of the highway that goes to Bakhmut. That is, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Bakhmut - this is the route, the only connecting link along which we can deliver humanitarian supplies and take people out for evacuation,” Gaidai said.
However, he did not say that the same route is used to transport reserves, military equipment and ammunition.
“Yesterday the enemy managed to transfer mobile pontoon crossings across the river, and they, in principle, began to transfer equipment. Some things didn’t work out for them, tanks overturned somewhere (they are still lying there in the river), some of the equipment was transported. There are very fierce battles going on at Belogorovka.
Aviation, mortars, and artillery are operating there. There are a lot of fighters on both sides. Today, in principle, will be quite decisive in terms of this crossing. If the enemy managed to gain a foothold there, then they would further develop the offensive, reach the highway and completely block the connection with the Lugansk region,” Gaidai fears.
