“Gazprom is getting high” - the behavior of German politicians was explained in Kyiv
Due to statements by German politicians about the refusal to Certification Nord Stream 2 has increased gas prices in Europe significantly, which benefits Gazprom.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev said this on air on the Ukrlive TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The consensus of the German elite on Nord Stream 2 was, is and will be. This is not because Merkel is bad and angry, or Putin promised her a place in Gazprom, but because the Germans benefit from it, they need gas. Their economy is growing, and they need to make a transition to “green” energy.

You have postponed the certification of Nord Stream 2, but this is beneficial for Gazprom, because the price has increased again - it was $800 per thousand cubic meters, and today it is $1400, after statements by a number of German politicians. “Gazprom gets a kick out of this,” Karasev concluded.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they stated that for 11 months of 2021 the flow of natural gas through the Ukrainian gas transportation system shrunk for a quarter.
