Gazprom postponed the deadline for prepayment for gas for Ukraine to June 9

The head of the company, Alexey Miller, announced this on Monday, reports the Rossiya 24 information channel.
“Ukraine paid the first tranche for gas supplies. Today, Gazprom's account received $786 million. We welcome the start of debt repayment by Ukraine and are postponing the prepayment regime to June 9.
The introduction of the prepayment regime will depend on the full repayment of the debt for gas delivered before April 1 in the amount of $2,237 billion, part of which was paid today, and on progress in payments for April and May supplies. Payment for May must be made before June 9,” said Alexey Miller.
According to him, Gazprom will not file any claims in international arbitration against NJSC Neftegaz until June 9.
