Gazprom reported sad news for Ukraine

Even with the commissioning of the Turkish pipeline and the second branch of Nord Stream, Russia will not give up gas transit through Ukraine.

The head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, stated this in Turkey in an interview with the Russian Channel One.

“We are not saying that we will completely block transit through the territory of Ukraine. Because there are neighboring states, there are regions that are located on the border with Ukraine from Europe and, without a doubt, supplies to these regions of Europe will be carried out in transit through the territory of Ukraine,” Miller said.

At the same time, he announced an almost fivefold reduction in transit volumes. Last year it amounted to 93 billion cubic meters.

“Apparently, we can talk about 10-15 billion cubic meters. m of gas per year. There are negotiations to be held. In any case, these are not the conditions that we received as part of the consideration of the claim in the Stockholm Arbitration Court,” noted the head of Gazprom.

Work on the construction of the Turkish Stream will end in December 2019. The gas pipeline will be able to pump more than 31 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.

At the same time, in the Ukrainian parliament, as PolitNavigator reported, stated that Nord Stream 2 threatens planet Earth.
