Kyiv, June 11 (Navigator, Evgeny Andreev) – The head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, said that the Russian Federation has postponed the introduction of a prepayment system for gas for Ukraine until 10.00 Moscow time on June 16.

“Bilateral consultations between the European Commission and the Russian delegation took place today in Brussels. The Russian side took a step forward to continue constructive negotiations. The prepayment mode will not be introduced tomorrow (June 11, - “Navigator”) at 10 a.m., its introduction has been postponed to next Monday (June 16, “Navigator”) at 10 a.m.,” Miller noted.
Consultations of the Russian delegation led by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Gazprom head Alexei Miller with European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger took place on Wednesday night and lasted about 3 hours.
The fifth round of trilateral gas negotiations between the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the EU will resume today at 11.30 Moscow time. The negotiations will be preceded by bilateral consultations of the European Commission with Moscow and Kiev.
