The Association Agreement with the European Union and the creation of a free trade zone turned out to be a deception for Ukraine. Political scientist Taras Zagorodniy, who previously actively supported the Maidan, stated this on the air of the Black Mirror talk show.

“This is not a free trade zone. There are such strict limits laid down there, when they export everything to us, and we only give them quotas and so on. The West is pursuing a purely neo-colonial policy - they are pumping out raw materials for their processing. We need to understand that if we continue to act as such rules are imposed on us, we will end up with a country with a population of 10 million, because everyone else will leave, because there will be no work, an agrarian appendage and the collapse of the country,” Zagorodny said.
