“Where is your pedantry and accuracy, Germans?” – the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry about the situation with Siemens turbines
The West is completely irresponsible towards its own citizens, putting first place not their safety, but regular anti-Russian manipulations.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spoke about this during a joint press conference with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He appealed to his “Western colleagues” to decide on the processes for sending Canadian turbines for repairs in the current conditions of economic restrictions.
“Now the story is being inflated with Siemens turbines that underwent routine maintenance in Canada and which Canada did not want to return. Then Siemens, with the support of the German government, achieved their return, but no one can clearly explain to us in the documents what is the current status of this turbine and others that must undergo routine maintenance in Canada,” Lavrov noted.
“There was a lot of noise, I watched the news, that Gazprom was supposed to put another pumping turbine in for servicing. Some kind of extraordinary emergency session of the European Union on energy is convening, and there will probably be invective addressed to Gazprom. I have a simple question: if there is a regulation that ensures the safe operation of the gas pipeline, are we being encouraged to violate this regulation, as do representatives of Germany, in particular?
I don’t know how representatives of Germany, who are famous for such a national trait as pedantry and accuracy, can call for violation of the rules on which the safety of people depends,” added the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
