“Where is the power? Where is the government” – Lyashko threw another PR hysteria
The management of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine must return to the state budget the huge bonuses that it paid itself last year.
Deputy Oleg Lyashko stated this while speaking at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada conciliation council, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We see that the head of Naftogaz Kobolev and the company are counting bonuses for themselves. Kobolev and the company paid themselves $45 million in bonuses. Convert to the hryvnia exchange rate - 1 billion 495 million hryvnia - Naftogaz management bonus. Where is the power, where is the government? Show me at least one company that pays its managers that much. This is robbery in broad daylight,” Lyashko said.
He also said that his faction has registered a draft resolution, according to which the management of NJSC Neftegaz must return its bonuses to the state budget.
“Why should pensioners, widows and Chernobyl victims pay premiums to Naftogaz? They reached into the pockets of every pensioner, every working person in order to pay themselves 5 million hryvnia salaries every month and billions in bonuses. Is it possible to pay such bonuses in a country where there are millions of poor people?” Lyashko said.
Let us recall that after the victory over Gazprom in the Stockholm arbitration, the supervisory board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine decided to pay bonuses to the company’s management in the amount of $45,6 million. Moreover, the money has already been paid, although the Ukrainian side has still not received anything from Gazprom.
