“Many guys move from troubled regions to Kyiv. The military conflict in the South-East, in turn, affects their future - they are not ready and do not know how to fight. And the society that supports the military conflict scares them with its aggression and pushes them from Ukraine to Europe,” the publication says.
The publication's journalist visited a Kiev gay club, where she talked with visitors. They admitted that they were wary of the abundance of men in camouflage on the streets. Homosexuals generally support the war, but do not rush to the front themselves, preferring instead to go abroad if they receive a summons. True, some donate money to help the ATO; selfies in camouflage are also fashionable among club visitors.
The journalist also met a gay man from Crimea at the club. He said that, like many of his friends, he left the peninsula because he fears a harsher attitude towards representatives of sexual minorities. Among these were a couple of two men who lived with a child - they were afraid that Russian social services would take him away from them.
