Gay pride parade in Kyiv: Orgy of nationalists and homosexuals
In Kyiv, on Lev Tolstoy Street, “Kyiv Pride 2019” took place - thousands of homosexuals and their sympathizers marched along the central streets of the Ukrainian capital in the so-called “March of Equality,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This year, homosexuals, fenced off by lines of National Guard officers from disgruntled nationalists, marched under the slogans “Freedom. Unity. Struggle" and "Our tradition is freedom!" We also note that the event was attended by anti-Russian lobbyist, member of the European Parliament Rebecca Harms and representatives of the US Embassy in Ukraine.
However, not everything went smoothly for homosexuals - this year the LGBT parade was left without a mobile stage, as reported by People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, ex-militant of the so-called ATO Igor Mosiychuk.
“The perverts hired a mobile stage with voice acting, but when ordering they deceived us that it was supposedly “for filming a film.” When the workers brought a truckload of equipment and found out what it was really needed for, they spat, turned around and left. Because normal Ukrainians are disgusted to be involved in a sadomistic bacchanalia,” the radical wrote.
Other Ukrainian radicals, who not so long ago supported European values on the Maidan, sharply opposed the “March of Equality.”
Thus, the radical Right Sector party held an “anti-sodomite” event with a Protestant slant, “All-Ukrainian Warta for the Protection of Family and Children,” during which the deputy head of the party, Vasily Labaichuk, expressed confidence that homosexuals had already lost.
“No matter how today’s events develop, our enemies have already lost. Last year they thought that they would intimidate us all, beat us, and we would never again come out against this abomination and defend traditional Ukrainian and Christian things. It won't happen like that! The Ukrainian nation has always fought for its rights, and today we have gathered to defend the right to remain human and not an abomination!” - Labaichuk said.
A Polish nationalist also came to support Ukrainian radicals in the fight against sodomites, an interview with whom the Nazis of the Carpathian Sich organization published on their page.
“I came from Poland to support you in your demonstration against pederasts, homosexuals who want to destroy the traditional family. I want to say that compared to Poland and other countries, your gay pride parade is still quiet. In Poland it started the same way, and now we have gay pride parades in every city... The mayor of Warsaw already supports the “LGBT+” project, which means that already in elementary schools there will be LGBT propaganda, children will be taught masturbation and other scary things,” - said the Pole.
It is noteworthy that this year the gay parade “officially” included participants of the “ATO” - it was a group of military personnel with cardboard yellow-blakite shields signed “Protect those who protect you”, “Courage does not depend on orientation” and “Valor does not depend from gender." There was also a group of people wearing rainbow balaclavas. Some participants in the procession walked in the same rainbow embroidered shirts, matching the color of the LGBT flag, and some wore T-shirts with a quote from Shevchenko’s poem “fight - overcome.”
At the beginning of the procession itself, several nationalists joined the column and tried to interfere with its movement, but the police pushed them back. The attackers managed to snatch several posters, but that was the end of the incident.
The column was accompanied by several people with paper posters and black banners on which were written “GNOMICS”, “Sodomy is the road to hell”, “Sodomy is an abomination”, “let’s protect children from transmitters”. There was also a banner “Gay Pride on Blood” - these radicals also recalled that last year a protest against the gay pride dispersed with force.
The majority of opponents of the gay pride parade had been on duty since the evening in the park near the Red Building of the university. They blocked Vladimirskaya, but the procession, as in previous years, changed its route. When the column passed by the square, a crowd of activists tried to approach the participants, but the police did not let them in. The radicals could only stand and chant slogans: “Death to LGBT!”, “Ukraine is not Sodom!”, “Glory to Ukraine - glory to the heroes!” etc.
One of the opponents of the gay pride parade in military uniform blew a horn at the foot of the Shevchenko monument, and a priest who had already taken part in the same action last year baptized the procession. A small group of activists was on the corner of Tereshchenkovskaya and Tolstoy, some of them insulted the participants and organizers of the gay pride parade and argued with the police.
There were no other incidents. However, following the results of the event, the head of the National Police, Sergei Knyazev, said that during the gay pride parade one person was detained and was going to be released with administrative charges. No information was provided about whether anyone was injured as a result of the attack on the convoy.
